Kurzfassung englisch:
The topology of a transverse flux machine requires a 3D finite element
analysis to predict the machine parameters. The decomposition of the
finite element model in distinct stator and rotor parts permits the usage of only one 3D model in the analysis of various angular rotor positions. This partitioned model is solved with a domain decomposition algorithm whereby a high efficient analysis of successive angular rotor positions is established. The paper presents the calculation of the electromagnetic torque and the stray field in the rotor shaft of a transversal flux machine designed for an electric vehicle using these modelling and analysis methods.
