Kurzfassung englisch:
An efficient finite element analysis of electrical switched reluctance
machines with various rotor positions is proposed. The finite element model is divided in distinct stator and rotor parts. The utilization of floating potentials on the sliding surface between the independent parts allows for the modeling of fully arbitrary rotor positions without any remeshing even with periodic boundary conditions. Two and three dimensional nonlinear numerical field calculations are used for the total electromagnetic flux and reactance determination which is performed by a numerical implementation based on the nonlinear magnetic energy.
