"Water-Injection or Oil-Injection for Screw-Compressors - A Comparison";
Vortrag: Vortrag, University of West Bohemia, Pilsen, Czech Republic (eingeladen); 25.10.2004 - 27.10.2004.

Kurzfassung englisch:
Screw compressors are rotary positive displacement machines of simple design. Two rotors, the male rotor and the female rotor have helical teeth and the tooth gaps of the meshing rotors are used as compression -chambers.
There are two types of screw compressors.
The dry running compressors have synchronous gears and the rotor-flanks are not in contact.
Such compressors can compress gases and mixtures of gas, liquid and dust.
Water injection in such compressors is used since many years for better cooling and for purging solid particles.
The other type of screw compressors are the oil flooded or oil injected compressors.
These compressors have no synchronous gears. Usually the male rotor is driving the female rotor and the flanks of the rotors are in contact.
