Kurzfassung englisch:
A special type of PM synchronous machine, which is used particularly in mechanical engineering and in
the medical technology is the pancake-motor. This paper presents the implementation of a sensorless
vector control for this special drive. For this purpose, a combined INFORMŽ/EMF model covering the
full speed range is used. In the low speed range and at zero speed no back-EMF occurs in the
machine. Hence this speed range needs a model that measures saliency - in this paper, the INFORMmethod
at low speed. At higher speed a back-EMF-model offers position estimation. Combining the
low and high speed model with a mechanical observer yields a stable control structure for sensorless
controlled drives. A special feedback loop returns the output information of the observer to the
integrating voltage model. Thus, a stable operation with high robustness against parameter
uncertainties and low frequency disturbances is achieved.
