English abstract:
This paper focuses on the integration of thermal simulation within the building design process. It summarizes arguments for the use of detailed modeling vs. simplified modeling even for early design. The implementation of an application structured to support thermal analysis during building design, and its integration with a prototype design environment is described. Results from the evaluation of the application are presented, as well as an illustrative example of its use in the design process.
