Conventional CAD and performance simulation technology do not allow for the automated derivation of simulation domain representations (SDRs) from general building design representations (BDRs). In our publications on the SEMPER project, we showed how to achieve this for buildings with orthogonal geometry. In this paper we demonstrate how to achieve the same for buildings with complex (non-orthogonal) geometry.
