English abstract:
This study utilizes empirical data collected at the daylight measurement station at the National University of Singapore to i) evaluate the performance of SOL-ARIS, a computational tool for the prediction of irradiance on any arbitrarily oriented surface at any geographical location, ii) assess the reliability of five algorithms for the prediction of sky luminance distribution, and iii) evaluate the effectiveness of outdoor irradiance and luminance prediction algorithms for the simulation of indoor illuminance levels in a test space.
