Kurzfassung englisch:
The aim of this paper is to present our approach of shop floor information and control flow management by use of modeling and service orientation. To see the given applications and entities as artefacts which offer functionality is our starting point for model driven design of an architecture which can cope with both, strategic long term decision making concerning infrastructure change and operational service flow composition. A case study shall illustrate the use of our “Shop Floor Tool-Box”, a tool which eases particular UML modeling through generic constructs, and the implementation into a shop floor control loop which supports the consistent specification of platform independent/specific models and process life-cycle management
