English abstract:
This paper presents the results of an effort to obtain, analyze, and interpret data from traditional bath buildings ("hammam"). It focuses specifically on results of long-term measurements pertaining to outdoor and indoor environmental parameters. Thermal comfort conditions inside these buildings were assessed and evaluated- Moreover. calibrated simulation models of hammams were generated that can predict indoor conditions as a function of weather information as well as use and operation patterns. Such models can support decision making concerning appropriate restoration and renovation measures with regard to traditional bath buildings.
