"Towards an optical clock on the isomer transition in 229Th nucleus";
Poster: 2012 European Frequency and Time Forum, Gothenburg, Sweden; 2012-04-24 - 2012-04-26.

English abstract:
Here we discuss a scheme of a measurement of an isomer transition frequency of 229 Thorium nuclei implanted into single crystals transparent in the
vacuum ultraviolet range. We investigate crystal-induced line shifts and broadening effects for the specific system of Calcium fluoride. It is expected that at
liquid Nitrogen temperatures, the performance will be limited by decoherence due to magnetic coupling of the Thorium nuclei to neighboring nuclear
moments. We consider an interrogation scheme based on a fluorescence spectroscopy method and we present optimized operation parameters.
