English abstract:
The Building Automation and Control network (BACnet) protocol is one open standard for data communication in building automation systems. In [1], the integration of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems into BACnet has been presented. This way, smart devices equipped with cameras can provide information about suspicious movements, fire or water ingress together with a captured image through BACnet objects. As a next step, this paper proposes possible use case scenarios when this type of integration is extended to Android based devices. Thus, an existing BACnet stack has been adapted and ported to Android. Using the stack, Android devices may directly interact with a BACnet system without the need of gateways in between. Resting upon the stack, applications for building operators and technical facility managers can be realized for ad hoc access, data acquisition, control and visualization of an underlying BACnet building automation system.
