English abstract:
Due to progress in permanent magnet materials, digital signal processing and power electronic devices, permanent magnet synchronous motors have got increasing importance in the low and medium power range because of their high efficiency and compact construction.
This paper introduces a position-sensorless positioning drive system based on permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) with rotor position estimation based on the INFORM method. The advantages of such positioning drives are considerably reduced costs, improved reliability and reduced space. The system can be operated with very good dynamic properties. Measurements on position-controlled industrial systems verify the quality of the sensorless system.
