English abstract:
e show that correlation sounders for time-varying mobile radio channels (which are supposed to measure the time-varying impulse response/transfer function) are affected by various systematic measurement errors. We identify and analyze these errors and provide quantitative error bounds in terms of channel and sounder parameters. Furthermore, we propose a novel calibration method that considerably reduces these errors. Comparisons using measured data and computer simulations corroborate our theoretical results. Our findings allow to assess the accuracy of existing measurements as well as to devise improved measurement techniques.
