English abstract:
We analyze the error floor due to channel-induced intersymbol interference for TDMA mobile radio systems that use the GMSK (Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying) modulation format; both fixed and adaptive sampling is considered. The channel is assumed to have a two-spike impulse response, where the spikes suffer from both small-scale (Rayleigh or Rice) and large-scale (lognormal) fading. We compute the average bit error probability and the probability density function of the numbers of bit errors in one data burst when we have interleaving. The probability density function allows the prediction of transmission quality with channel coding.
