English abstract:
In modern inverter-fed ac drives the transient current change due to voltage pulses can advantageously be exploited for condition monitoring as well as for an evaluation of the flux/rotor position without a mechanical sensor. Thus even small asymmetries of the machine caused for example by saturation, slotting, excentricity or insulation failure can be detected during normal operation of the drive by charging discrete voltage pulses u onto the machine and measuring the current slope di/dt. The research done on this concept is going to a further minimisation of the voltage pulse influence on the normal performance of the machine
