English abstract:
The mechanical deformation of Roebel bars embedded in slots of electrical machines mainly depends on the acting electromagnetic volume force density inside the conducting regions, the anisotropic mechanical properties and the applied mechanical slot wedge fixing. With this coupled problem, there must be distinguished between mechanical loose and mechanical fixed bars. To accurately include both the volume forces inside conducting regions and the surface forces at material boundaries, an hybrid computation algorithm has to be applied with the coupled electromagnetic and mechanical finite element analyses. Moreover, the hybrid technique allows to describe the transitional state between both fixed and loose bars in dependence of the electrical bar currents in a very efficient way.
