This project is a part of a basic investigation program concerning the
realization of thick film heater on steel substrate. lt should be evaluated the
feasibility to utilize specific thick film conductor pastes for heating as weil as
temperature sensing eiernent application. The heating element should become
a smart sensor. Characteristic performance data, like current carrying capability,
temperature dependence of resistance of heating tracks built up with different
thick film conductor pastes have been analyzed in dependence of the applied
processing and operating conditions.
