"Rotational or Alternating Magnetostriction as a Result of Rotational Magnetization - Fundamental Aspects";
Przeglad Elektrotechniczny, 5 (2005), ROK LXXXI; 45 - 47.

English abstract:
This paper discusses the basic behavior of different types of soft magnetic materials with respect to magnetostriction as resulting from rotational magnetization. Isotropic amorphous and crystalline materials prove to yoield a rotation of the main axis of magnetostrictive strain. On the other hand, anisotropic Goss texture materials show a fixed axis as in the case of alternating magnetization. Easily, the fundamental differences can be explained on the basis of domain theory. The results yield also different mechanisms of vibration of magnetic cores with respect to generation of audible noise.
