Kurzfassung englisch:
In this paper we present a contact less optical method suitable for position and displacement measurement of diffuse targets. The method is based on modified triangular principle and spectrum analysis of broadband light back reflected from the target. It is performed by analysis of the white light radiation spectrum reflected off form a diffuse target using high resolution optical spectrum analyser. Thus the peak reflected wavelenght at the output end of the system is a function of the position of the target. We used a multimode fiber optic experimental set up for delivering and receiving white light radiation. The output beam, reflected off from the target has been focused on the receiving fiber guiding the light into spectrometer. Using the spectrometer CCD we determined the paek position of the receiving spectrum in dependence on the target displacement. The realizable measuring range is up to several centimeters, with a maesuring uncertainity of +/- 25µm. The sensor geometry is flexible and offers an opportunity for adjusting the measuring range and enhancing resolution.
