English abstract:
In order to adequately prepare researchers for work in the field of microhandling and -assembly, multi-disciplinary eduaction schemas and training opportunities covering all related scientific and technological areas heva to be available not only at the academic, educational level, but also at further stages, for both early-stage and experienced researchers. European Research an Training Networks (RTNs) have proven to be a very efficient tool for this purpose. This paper presents the FP6 Marie Curie Research and Training Network "Advanced Methods and Tools for Handling and Assembly in Microtechnology - ASSEMIC", started in January 2004, with the aim od addressing the current Europeantraining needs in the field of microhandling and -assembly.
