English abstract:
This paper presents a hardware demonstrator for linearising Power Amplifiers (PA) for WiMax applications by using the Digital Predistortion (DPD) linearisation technique. A detailed explanation of the hardware setup necessary to implement an adaptive DPD operating at the WiMax bank at 3.5 GHz is here provided. The devices under test (DUT2) to be linearised are a LDMOS amplifier donated by Freescale and a GaN amplifier built in Task B of the TARGET WiSeLPAs workpackage. Some preliminary results showing the linearisation performance achieved by a NARMA-based DPD that takes into account memory effects compensation will be introduced.
