English abstract:
This paper introduces a low cost electromechanical resonant tuner with total material costs of less than thousand Euros. The tuner will be inserted between the device under test (DUT) and an already existing fundamental tuner. It allows reflecting two different harmonics with configurable phase. The basic concept will be explained, the problems and corresponding solutions will be discussed, trade-offs will be analyzed, an performance measurements will be given. For this paper the harmonic tuner was designed to reflect the second and third harmonic of a DUT operated at a fundamental frequency of 2.1445 GHz. Finally the performane of the tuner is validated by vector network analyzer (VNA) measurements as well as by a load-pull measurement which compares the resonant tuner approach with the triplexing-filter approach.
