Kurzfassung englisch:
In this thesis we consider the stability problem for shock profiles
in the Jin-Xin model. We follow the programme of Freistuehler and Szmolyan to reduce the problem to the viscous Burgers equation.
Hence we are able to conclude spectral stability of shock profiles
of the Jin-Xin model.
