Abstract

The numerical solution of the Landau?Lifshitz Gilbert equation shows that fast switching is possible at fields well below the anisotropy filed Ha. In this regime the switching time decreases with decreasing external field. Non-uniform demagnetizing fields of irregularly shaped grains or finite temperature do not significantly change the field dependence of the switching time. At finite temperature the switching time decreases.
