Abstract

Domain wall pinning in Sm(Co,Fe,Cu,Zr)z based magnets was investigated with 3D-micromagnetic simulations. The pinning effect was studied for varying thickness of the intercellular phase at constant cell size. The simulations showed a complete loss of the pinning effect for a very thin and very thick cell boundary phase. In the proper region the pinning field was calculated for varying anisotropy constant.
