Abstract. The hystersis loop of an amorphous Fe85B15 ribbon was measured using a single strip system as well as a toroid arrangement. The shape of the hysteresis changes due to the stresses in the toroid geometry. The hysteresis is analysed using the energetic model. The obtained parameters provide good agreement with a stress analysis of the toroid.
