Abstract

The volume expansion is the primary effect on the enhancement of the magnetic moment in the nitride. The temperature dependence of the saturation magnetization MS(T) of Y3Fe27.4Ti1.6 and its nitride can be described by spin-wave relations. The best fit of the temperature dependence of the magnetic anisotropy K1(T) is reached assuming an opposite two-ion contribution to the single-ion mechanism.
