We report on magnetic measurements on a HoNi2B2C single crystal. The magnetic and the superconducting phase diagrams were determined in different crystal directions and the superconductive properties evaluated as a function of temperature and applied field. The results on the critical current densities reveal bulk pinning in those regions of the phase diagram, where superconductivity is not suppressed by metamagnetically ordered structures of the Ho 4f moments.
