"Vibrational Spectra of Nitric Acid Dihydrate (NAD)";
Vibrational Spectroscopy (invited), 34 (2004), 1; 55 - 62.

English abstract:
Nitric acid dihydrate, which is an important constituent in polar stratospheric clouds, has been
investigated by infrared and Raman spectroscopy. Spectral changes, upon variation in
temperature and concentration, have been analysed in detail and interpreted as a phase change
between a low- and a high-temperature modification. This interpretation was corroborated by
the results of a previous X-ray diffraction study of samples prepared under essentially the
same conditions. The present FTIR spectra are compared to literature data.
