English abstract:
When branched hexabromoheptasilanes are reacted with divalent nucleophiles such as H2O, H2S, NH3 or MeNH2, cage structures analogous to that of adamantane are obtained in almost quantitative yields. The reduction of hexabromoheptasilanes with bulkier terminal tert-butyl groups affords heptasilanortricyclenes, which have a molecular geometry often met in group 15 chemistry. The structures of these compounds were determined by NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. Structural features were further investigated by means of ab-intio calculations.
