Kurzfassung englisch:
Metal-Matrix-Composites (MMCs) are made of materials with different physical and chemical properties. It is possible to change the mechanical, thermal and electrical properties by variation of the mass ratio of the composites. Therefore MMCs have great value for industry and technology. Especially CuMO - Surfaces on C - Substrates have a good possibility to be used as heat sinks for electronic components. the mechanical adhesion of copper (Cu) and carbon (C) is extremly weak because of their immiscibility and nonexisting chemical. The molybdenum interlayer is used as an adhesion promotor. In this work Time of Flight - Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (TOF-SIMS) technique is primarily applied to detect the carbide formation in the molybdenum and copper layers, wgich is depending on some process parameters. The CuMo-layers have been deposited by magnetron sputtering under different temperature conditions. In order to increase the adhesion the samples have been treated with different temperatures afterwards.
