We developed a prototype of a visualization tool called LinkVis. It is a tool for
visualizing complex psychotherapeutic actions, their effects and the states of the
patients. The combination of different views enables the user to get new insights.
Focusing on exploration tasks by the user we enhanced this tool by the Hyperbolic
Hypotheses Tree. This feature supports the user in defining goals and getting an
overview in order to overcome the gap between highly abstracted information about the
states of patients on the one hand and interpretation of details of graphical
representations on the other hand.

Wir entwickelten einen Prototypen eines Visualisierungstools namens LinkVis. Dieses Tool kann komplexe psychotherapeutische Aktionen, deren Auswirkungen und die Gesundheitszustände der PatientInnen visuell darstellen. Die Kombinationen von verschieden Sichten erleichtert den UserInnen, neue Einsichten zu gewinnen. Unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Explorationstasks durch die UserInnen haben wir das Tool mit dem "Hyperbolic Hypotheses Tree" erweitert. Dieses Feature unterstützt die UserIn , Ziele zu definieren und den Überblick zu behalten. Dadurch können wir die Kluft zwischen stark abstrahierten Informationen über den Gesundheitszustand der Patientinnen einerseits, und dem Interpretieren der Details der visuellen Darstellungen anderseits überwindbar machen.
