The Ecodesign e-learning course conveys knowledge about ecological product design. The following paper describes the Ecodesign e-learning system, its aims and its pedagogical foundation. Two courses with beta versions of the Ecodesign e-learning system were being held in spring and summer 2004. These courses were evaluated by interviews and logfiles and the results of the evaluation were used for the redesign of the system which is completed by now and in use for a university course. The evaluation was concerned among others with the structure of the content, the examples the students work on as well as with the navigational behavior of the users.
