English abstract:
In this paper we will motivate the adaption of results from the distributed algorithms community for achieving systematic fault-tolerance on chip. We will further provide an example which shows how a well-known clock synchronization algorithm was transformed to provide a SoC with a fault-tolerant distributed clock.
