English abstract:
The study of isolated, inbred populations is a promising approach for the identification of disease susceptibility genes. One of the main challenges for geneticists and epidemiologist is to deal with the very complex genealogies of such populations. We present ongoing research on using a visual analytics based approach for the identification of family clustered diseases, risk factors and heritability patterns.
