Kurzfassung englisch:
In this paper we describe the ordering systems in use in a hospital. It is based on fieldwork done in an oncology clinic in Vienna where we studied documentation practices. The clinic is one of five selected for the introduction of a new, unified electronic patient record system. The aim of this initial fieldwork in two of these clinics was to better understand the complexity of work practices, with a focus on documentation.
