Kurzfassung englisch:
The rotating crack model for the representation of concrete cracking in the context of smeared crack FE-analyses is reformulated in the framework of 3D classical multisurface elastoplasticity theory along with a computationally efficient algorithmic treatment on the basis of the return map algorithm. A modification of the classical model, aimed at the elimination of deficiences with regards to its physical plausibility, while restoring the computational effectiveness of the standard approach, is proposed. A comparison of the modified model with other existing crack formulations is presented.
