English abstract:
The modified Cam-Clay plasticity model is recast within an algorithmic framework for finite deformation plasticity, recently proposed by SIMO [1,1992], SIMO & MESCHKE [2,1993]. The suggested modification of the Cam-Clay model avoids the numerical difficulties stemming from the limitations of the definition of the nonlinear elastic law. The applicability of the modified formulation of the Cam-Clay model for the representation of snow is demonstrated by means of re-analysis of hydrostatic tests performed on snow specimen.
