English abstract:
A material model for snow formulated on the basis of multisurface viscoplasticity theory is proposed. The model is cast within the framework of multiplicative finite strain plasticity theory and extended to viscoplasticity. The proposed model is calibrated according to hydrostatic and shear-box tests of snow. Numerical results obtained from finite element analyses of the mechanical interaction between a single rubber block moving over a snow-covered surface, involving frictional contact and realistic material formulations for snow and rubber, are presented.
