English abstract:
On the basis of an "a priori condition" for the existence of stabilitiy limits on geometrically nonlinear prebuckling paths, formulae for lower and upper bounds for such limits are presented. The term "a priori condition" is defined as a condition which only requires information from the first step of an incremental analysis by the finite element method (FEM). This condition follows from the mathematical properties of eigenvalue curves, resulting from a special model of so-called "accompanying linear stability analysis". These properties are discussed in the paper.

Keywords: stability, accompanying eigenvalue analysis, nonlinearity, bounds for stability limits
