English abstract:
Ultimate load analysis of reinforced brackets by the finite element method. The ultimate load values obtained in three full-scale tests on reinforced concrete brackets, as reported in the literature, are analytically checked with the aid of a finite element program adapted for the analysis of reinforced concrete plane loadbearing structures. The calculated ultimate loads are always on the safe side. The difference between the experimentally obtained and the associated calculated result increases with decreasing slenderness of the bracket and with increasing concentration of the reinforcement. Changes applied to some markedly variable material characteristics shos the calculated ultimate load to be relatively unaffected by variations in these material parameters.
