English abstract:
A method to predict the mechanical properties of the three dimensional (3D) braiding composites, produced by means of a so-called four-step process, is presented. On the basis of the spatial distribution of yarns and their orientations, resulting from the corresponding textile process of the composites, the stiffness of a so-called "unit cell", defined in a local coordinate system, is determined by using the modified laminar composite theory. Transformation of the local stiffness into the global coordinate system results in the mechanical properties of the braiding composites. The predicted results are compared with experimental data.
