English abstract:
The paper reports on adaptive methods for ultimate load analyses of reinforced concrete (RC) surface structures (plates and shells). The finite element (FE) mesh is adapted according to the distribution of an "estimated" error of the FE results obtained from incremental-iterative analysis. For this purpose, the recovery technique of Zienkiewicz and Zhu (1992) is extended to elastoplastic material behavior considering hardening as well as softening. The developed adaptive scheme is applied to a reinforced shear wall panel, making use of the layer concept.
