English abstract:
The philosphy of most research projects at the Institute for Strength of Materials of Vienna University of Technology is a synthesis

(a) material modeling of reinforced concrete and application of the developed constitutive models to collapse analyses of structures

(b) constitutive modeling of wood and application of the resulting material models to the investigation of wooden joints,

(c) material modeling of plain concrete for the purpose of assessing the load-carrying behavior of anchor bolts,

(d) constitutive modeling of shotcrete as a prerequisite for the analyses of tunnels driven according to the New Austrian Tunneling

As regards numerical simulation of NATM tunnels, different materials such as rock and soil, shotcrete, and soilcrete are involved. M

Keywords: NATM, shotcrete, localization, hybrid method, tunneling, jet grouting, soilcrete, thermochemomechanics, ground improvement, parameter identification, inverse problem, tunnel collapse
