English abstract:
A method is presented to calculate unlimited large deformations of plane, initially curved, slender beams. It is assumed that Love's first approximation for the strain energy is valid. Main aspect of the method is the derivation of residual internal forces and moments based on exact strain-displacement relations and equilibrium equations. The method has been used to calculate the deformations of a straight cantilever beam under end moment and end force.
