English abstract:
A theoretical consideration of reinforced concrete members with circular cross sections subjected to transverse monotonic loading is presented. The shear capacity of the shear reinforcement has been discussed from a new point of view, considering deviation and bond forces between the concrete and the stirrups. A proposed formula for calculation of the shear force carried by stirrups is given which allows the consideration of different concrete strut inclination angle. Testing of two identical circular cross section specimens has been performed as well. A comparison of the analytical shear capacity with test results shows a good estimate.
