English abstract:
Analysis of inelastic slip developments in the physical interfaces of sandwich beams under severe dynamic loading is presented in the context of a multiple field analysis. Materials are considered in the regime of rate-dependent plasticity and are subjected to accumulated damage. Inelastic defects of the material are considered in the linear elastic background beam by a second strain field (eigenstrains). Layerwise continuous and linear in-plane displacement fields are implemented, and as such, model both the global and the local inelastic response of sandwich beams. An effective cross-sectional rotation is defined and the complex problem of a layerwise laminate theory reduces to the simpler case of a homogenized shear-deformable beam, with effective stiffness and boundary conditions. Superposition applies in the linear elastic background in an incremental formulation. Linear methods, as those based on Green's functions, are used to account for the given as well as for the resultants of the imposed strain fields.
