English abstract:
Results from a numerical study of the dynamic load plate test with the light falling weight device are presented. The test procedure and the to be tested built-in soil stratifications are described by means of a simplified mechanical model, which reflects the main features of this groundbreaking compaction control method. An elastic halfspace with a semi-infinite elastic face of constant thickness characterizes the compacted subsoil, and the Boundary Element Method is utilized to establish the corresponding computational model in the frequency do-main. The equation of motion of the falling weight and the spring-damper element of the device are formulated in the time domain. Both substructures are coupled in an iterative procedure. In a parametric study the test procedure and the test results are evaluated.
