In the context of this research project a consortium has been formed dealing with road traffic noise emissions. The consortium consists of researchers from the Vienna University of Technology and PsiA-Consult Environmental Research and Engineering GmbH. The partners in this group have supplied real-life traffic noise data and have performed analyses on these data with the goal of reducing traffic noise. For this purpose a computation model was developed based on measured traffic noise data, which considers the local conditions for real-life situations so that a consistent evaluation and more reliable noise prognoses are possible.

Im Rahmen des Forschungsprojekts geht ein Konsortium, bestehend aus Forschern der TU Wien und psiA-Consult Umweltforschung und Engineering GmbH der Stra-ßenverkehrslärmemission auf den Grund und liefert Basisdaten zu ihrer Reduktion. Zu diesem Zweck wurde ein Berechnungsmodell entwickelt, das die realen Bedin-gungen vor Ort berücksichtigt und damit eine konsistente Beurteilung der Ist-Situation und zuverlässigere Lärmprognosen erlaubt.
