"Strategic development of Building Energy Efficiency In BiH, improvement of National Standards and Personal Education";
Vortrag: Second congress of Bosnian and Herzegovinian Scientists from B&H and abroad, Sarajevo (Bosnien und Herzegowina) (eingeladen); 27.08.2008 - 31.08.2008; in: "Knjiga Sazetaka", Knjiga Sazetaka (2008), S. 143 - 145.

Kurzfassung englisch:
The most important problem in Bosnia and Herzegovina is missing of research work in building physic field and practical realisation of this. Energy, ecology, environmental protection, acoustic etc. requirements, for build and reconstruction of houses, during the last few years, grown dramatically. Not just increase of the reduces energy is important, therefore it considerably savings the hygienic quality, increase of the ecological effects by the reduction of the environmental pollution, above all, offers you comfort during winter and summer times.
These low-energy buildings are standard now.
The European Union passed the directive 2002/91/EU regarding the "Energy Performance of buildings". For new and for existing buildings Energy certifications must be issued. The refurbishment of the building envelope reduces the heating costs as well as the carbon dioxide emissions and improves the indoor climate.
The decomposition of the energy consumption indicates that in addition to the industry and the traffic a great part of energy is used for houses and buildings.
The important initiative and a further aim are:
. Research and Development in building physic field as well as personal development training and joint improvement of new perspectives in this specific scientific field. The programs are needed for science and engineering, mobility of researchers and connecting/cooperation of Universities and research Organizations.
. Adaption of international standards and create the national standards of this important theme
. The exchange of practical knowledge
